Completed in 2004, Swan Legacy was the culmination of a 3 year collaboration between Marston Vale Trust, Bedford Borough Council, office of the Deputy Prime Minister, Carillion URS, Kemco Fabrications Ltd., Highways Agency, Countryside Agency and Hanson Building Products. The roundabout site was donated and the brickwork was constructed by CJ Stubbings. Advice was sought from Cranfield University and Silsoe institute.
